About the event

Assemble ecowarriors! Help remove invasive plants on the second Saturday of each month. Learn about local ecology while making an impact in your local communities. We'll meet at the Bruce Hannon Levee Trail parking lot by 9:55 am, then relocate closer to the trail. Terrain will be easy to moderately challenging. Most volunteers will be cutting and hauling invasive honeysuckle to a burn pile. Dress for the weather and bring work gloves. Tools for hand removal will be provided, or bring your own loppers. There will be donuts and coffee! If the weather looks questionable, we'll contact you directly. To register, send an email to LCF Executive Director Eric Mollahan. Photo by Melissa Records.
